Hull | Full time or part time

£26,485.68 to £27,477.40 per year for full time hours

No weekends | 3.30pm Friday finish | Five weeks’ holiday plus bank holidays

Stevenswood is looking for a Branch Assistant to join our Hull team. You’ll help customers get what they need, prepare quotes, follow up sales opportunities and get orders ready for dispatch.

This is a varied, hands-on role where friendly service, good organisation and a willingness to get stuck in all count. Whether you’re answering an enquiry or picking an order, you’ll help make sure our customers are “sorted”.

Your day to day

You’ll be part of the team keeping the branch running smoothly, with responsibilities including:

Looking after customers: answering enquiries, helping with accounts and keeping customers updated from their first enquiry through to installation.

Supporting sales: preparing quotes using our industry specific software, explaining products and promotions, and contacting existing or lapsed customers to generate business.

Keeping orders moving: managing stock efficiently, picking orders and organising loads for dispatch.

Getting the details right: updating customer records, taking payments and helping with end of day banking and reports.

Pitching in as a team: keeping the branch clean, organised and safe, supporting colleagues and working towards branch targets.

You’ll be approachable, reliable and proud to give customers a good experience. You’ll enjoy working with others and be comfortable with both customer conversations and practical branch tasks.

You’ll also bring:

Strong customer service skills and clear communication.

Good numeracy, literacy and attention to detail.

The confidence to follow up enquiries and spot sales opportunities.

Good organisation and a willingness to learn about our products and systems.

Pay and hours

The full time salary is £26,485.68 to £27,477.40 per annum, within a fixed range.

Full time hours:

Monday to Thursday: 7.30am to 4.30pm.

Friday: 7.30am to 3.30pm.

Part time applications are welcome, with hours to be discussed.
