Van Driver / Yard Operative – Construction Company

Location: London

Contract: 3–Months initially, with a view to a full–time permanent role

Pay: 15 – 17 per hour (PAYE), depending on experience (equivalent to 33,000 per year)

We are working on behalf of a busy and very well–established and respected construction company based and operating in Central London. They are looking to recruit a reliable Van Driver / Yard Operative to join their team.

This is a hands–on role ideal for someone with experience in construction logistics, who is confident working in a fast–paced yard environment and making deliveries to sites across London.

Role Responsibilities:

Organising and maintaining the yard – loading/unloading materials and equipment;Driving a company van (3.5 tonne flatbed truck) to deliver materials, tools, and equipment to various construction sites;Supporting trades and site teams with equipment distribution;Ensuring deliveries are accurate, safe, and timely;Keeping the yard area tidy, secure, and compliant with health & safety standards.Key Requirements:

Full UK driving licence – Category B (essential);Previous experience in a construction yard or builders merchant (essential);Good knowledge of construction materials, plant & tools;Physically fit and capable of manual handling;Strong understanding of site safety and procedures;Reliable, punctual, and self–motivated;Whats on Offer:
