Role Overview

Proactive personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner. As a Transport Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and cost–effective planning of our pallet network operations. You will be responsible for coordinating daily collections and deliveries, optimising vehicle routes, and ensuring compliance with transport regulations and company standards.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9– 5.30pm, the occasional Saturday morning may pop up depending on business needs and paid as overtime

Will have to cover holidays for all other shift patterns which are 5.30am–2pm & (phone number removed)pm which is approximately 9 weeks of the year.

This role requires excellent communication skills, strong geographical knowledge, and the ability to make effective, time–sensitive decisions in a fast–paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

Planning Irish Export Trailers (Dublin & Belfast) Planning our multi drop C&D vehicles effectively to achieve on time deliveries (Holiday cover) Ensure all customer collections are achieved. Changing schedules to meet customer/network demands. Liaising with drivers and colleagues to ensure all day–to–day activities are met to the highest possible standards. Ensuring our drivers are delivering effectively and reporting delays effectively. Trouble shooting critical transport related issues as they arise in a live environment. Key Skills & Experience

The ability to utilise and manage people effectively. Full training for the in–house systems will be provided, however a good knowledge of computer skills will be required. Flexible approach with regards to working hours Able to work under pressure in a time–critical environment. Well organised with an acute attention to detail with excellent problem–solving skills.
