Job Title: Transport Planner

Salary: 35,000 – 38,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30

Holiday: 28 days annual leave + bank holidays (including time off over Christmas)

Location: Rainham, Essex

Overview:

We're seeking a proactive and organised Transport Planner to join a growing logistics operation. With a fleet of 42 vehicles including curtain–sided trailers and articulated trucks, this is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their logistics career within a fast–paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate the daily schedules for a fleet of 42 curtain–sided and articulated vehiclesTrack drivers in real–time, ensuring efficient route planning and prompt issue resolutionCommunicate with drivers throughout the day to manage delays, rerouting, and service updatesResolve operational problems as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to servicesMaintain accurate transport and delivery recordsCollaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goodsSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the transport planning function

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a transport planning or logistics coordination roleStrong understanding of UK road transport operations and complianceExcellent communication and problem–solving skillsAbility to work well under pressure and manage changing prioritiesFamiliarity with vehicle tracking systems and planning software is a plusA team player with a positive, can–do attitude
