Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Ocean Export Coordinator to join their Bristol–based operations team.

The Role

As Ocean Export Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing international export shipments from start to finish, ensuring customers receive a seamless and professional service throughout their relocation journey.

Key Responsibilities

Manage ocean export shipments from booking through to final destination deliveryAct as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the shipping processLiaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, and international partners to secure bookings and manage schedulesPrepare and issue shipping instructions and Bills of LadingComplete export customs declarations using HMRC CDSMonitor shipment progress and proactively communicate updates to customersCoordinate customs clearance and final delivery arrangements with overseas partnersProduce customer invoices using internal systemsMaintain accurate shipment records and documentationResolve operational issues quickly and professionally to minimise disruption to customersEnsure all shipments are handled in line with company procedures and compliance requirements

About You

We are looking for an organised and customer–focused export professional who can confidently manage multiple shipments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience within ocean freight forwarding, export shipping, logistics, or international removalsStrong understanding of ocean export procedures and shipping documentationExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong organisational and time management abilitiesHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailGood IT skills including Microsoft OfficeAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Desirable Experience

Experience preparing Bills of Lading and shipping instructionsExperience working with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and overseas agentsExperience handling both FCL and LCL shipmentsKnowledge of customs procedures and export complianceExperience within household goods, relocation, or international removals sectors
