This is a great opportunity for a logistics professional who enjoys managing complex shipments, working with customers and overseas partners, and taking ownership from start to finish.Import & Export Freight Forwarder - The RewardsCompetitive salaryCompany pension20 days holiday plus bank holidaysOffice-based role in FelixstoweOpportunity to work within a fast-moving international logistics environmentScope to develop your skills and take ownership of key customer accountsImport & Export Freight Forwarder - Requirements5+ years' experience within freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or supply chainStrong import and export experience, ideally with sea freightGood knowledge of UK and international customs proceduresExperience with export declarations, CDS entries, Carnets, and customs documentationGood understanding of Incoterms and international shipping regulationsDangerous Goods awarenessExperience using freight management systems; Multi Freight experience would be advantageousStrong organisational skills with excellent attention to detailConfident communicator with the ability to build relationships with customers, carriers, agents, and suppliersCommercially aware with experience handling quotations, rates, and marginsImport & Export Freight Forwarder - ResponsibilitiesManage import and export shipments from start to finish across sea, road, air, and multimodal transportManage key customer accounts and build strong, long-term relationshipsCoordinate customs documentation, declarations, tariff classifications, and duty requirementsLiaise with shipping lines, carriers, overseas agents, and customers to ensure smooth shipment movementsProvide guidance on Incoterms, customs requirements, and international shipping regulationsPrepare quotations, negotiate rates, and support commercial pricing decisionsResolve shipment delays, exceptions, disputes, and operational issuesMaintain accurate shipment and financial records within the freight management systemEnsure all shipments are handled efficiently, compliantly, and within agreed service levelsIdentify opportunities to improve processes, customer service, and operational performanceAbout Us Detail2Recruitment acts as an employment agency in respect of this position.
