Import Administrator

Location: Stoke–On–Trent

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full–Time

About the Role

Our client is currently looking for an Import Administrator to join their busy and fast–paced operations team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth coordination of import shipments across Europe, providing essential administrative and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and arrange European cargo collections and manage customer bookingsLiaise with European partners and agencies to ensure a seamless serviceCheck and process commercial invoices accuratelyCommunicate with internal departments including customs, transport, and warehouse teamsProvide quotations for European import shipmentsPrepare domestic delivery documentation for transportInput shipment details, costs, and charges into the transport management systemPrepare unloading lists for warehouse operationsMaintain accurate and up–to–date administrative recordsEnsure effective communication across departments to support timely delivery of goodsManage spreadsheets and track shipment dataHandle customer queries and resolve issues in a professional and timely mannerRespond to customer enquiries via phone and emailSupport continuous improvement of internal processesAssist with additional tasks as required by management

Requirements & Skills

Previous experience in an administrative or customer service roleExperience within logistics, freight forwarding, or European import/export operations is highly desirableUnderstanding of import customs procedures and documentation (e.g. T1/T2) is advantageousStrong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholdersGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)High level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to prioritise workload and manage time effectively in a fast–paced environmentWillingness to learn new systems and processes quickly If you are interested in this position please apply directly or email your CV over to (url removed) You can also call Maria on (phone number removed)
