The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting Class 1 (C&E Drivers) on behalf of EVRi Hub, Barnsley.

Hours: Choose your own days of work and start times by providing a 2–hour window. Shifts available Monday – Sunday.

PAYE Rates:

(PAYE 6AM onwards): Monday to Thursday, GBP16.21, Friday GBP16.95, Saturday GBP17.87 & Sunday GBP18.20 (PAYE 2PM onwards): Monday to Thursday GBP16.87, Friday GBP17.60, Saturday GBP18.29, Sunday GBP18.61 (PAYE 10PM onwards): Monday to Friday GBP17.59, Saturday GBP20.69 & Sunday GBP21.96 PAYE

ROLLEDUP Rates:

(RU 6AM onwards): Monday to Thursday GBP18.17, Friday GBP19.00, Saturday GBP20.03 & Sunday GBP20.40 (RU 2PM onwards): Monday to Thursday GBP18.91, Friday GBP19.72, Saturday GBP20.50, Sunday GBP20.86 (RU 10PM onwards): Monday to Thursday GBP19.71, Friday GBP20.28, Saturday GBP23.19 & Sunday GBP24.61

Location: Barnsley, S74.

Job Type: Ongoing.

The role:

Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.

Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision.

Ability to drive Class 2 when cover is needed.

Conduct pre–trip and post–trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.

Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.

Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

New pass welcome, some experience would be an advantage.

Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).

Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.

Full understanding of WTD legislation.
