Description

Backline Avonmouth are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 driver for a prestige client in Avonmouth. Salary GBP44k - GBP45k per year based on a 48 hour week as a permanent driver.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years Class 1 experience and no more then 6 penalty points for minor motoring offences.

Typically, your shift pattern will be Monday to Friday, with shifts starting between 04:00 am and 06:00 am.

You will be carrying out between 3 - 6 store deliveries per day.

About You:

You will have held your Class 1 licence for a minimum of 2 years

Maximum 6 points for minor offences

Experience essential

Looking for appreciation and a good team ethic

A good knowledge and experience of driving all types of trucks

An appreciation of good customer service

Completing all relevant paperwork for deliveries as required

Ensuring daily vehicle checks and defect reports are completed

Liaising with your line manager to communicate any issues relevant to the work you have been allocated

Adhering to all relevant road traffic and working time regulations

Maintaining accurate driving hours, working time and rest period/break records using the appropriate method (digital tachograph)
