Shift: 4 on / 4 off – 7:00pm to 7:00am

The Opportunity

We're recruiting on behalf of an established international freight forwarding business for an Express / Time–Critical Air Freight Coordinator to join their growing operation in Feltham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced air freight professional who enjoys working in a fast–paced, customer–focused environment where no two nights are the same.

Working a 4 on / 4 off night shift pattern, you'll take ownership of express and time–critical shipments from start to finish, coordinating with customers, airlines, hauliers, customs and internal operational teams to ensure every shipment is delivered on time and to the highest possible standard.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the end–to–end coordination of express and time–critical air freight movements, ensuring shipments are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with customer expectations.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing express and time–critical air freight shipments from booking through to final deliveryProviding exceptional customer service to key clients and maintaining strong relationshipsProcessing import and export shipments from start to finishCreating and managing jobs on BoxTopCoordinating warehouse collections, picks, paperwork and transportArranging and managing road transport, co–loaders and other transport providersCompleting import and export customs clearances via CDS/ASMMonitoring customer KPIs and ensuring service levels are consistently achievedProactively managing and resolving operational issues and customer queriesLiaising with regional depots and transport providers to ensure shipments remain on scheduleManaging invoicing and supporting shipment profitability

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a solid background in air freight forwarding, ideally with experience handling express, urgent or time–critical shipments.

You'll need to be:

Experienced within air freight / freight forwardingComfortable managing shipments from start to finish for exports and importsConfident dealing with customers, suppliers and transport providersOrganised and able to prioritise effectively in a time–critical environmentCommercially aware, with an understanding of profitability and invoicingConfident using IT systems, including Excel, CRM systems and BoxTopFamiliar with import/export customs processes and CDSWR Logistics are a leading recruitment partner for the logistics and supply chain industry, recruiting across the UK, Europe, and the USA for permanent opportunities.
