Description

Hi, my name's Ayo. I provide remote, culturally sensitive therapy to young people and adults in a space that is warm and collaborative. I work with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties and have a particular interest in men’s mental health. My practice is fully inclusive, LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent-affirming.

As a domestic abuse (DA) specialist also, I work with both victims and perpetrators and bring a nuanced, yet practical understanding of DA be it verbal, physical, emotional, coercive control, sexual or financial.

Drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural approaches, I tailor therapy to suit your individual needs and goals. Together, we'll make sense of challenging thoughts, feelings and behaviours so that you can move forward with greater ease and clarity.

I am incredibly grateful for the support and guidance I have received from Ayo over the past 6 months. From our very first session, she created a warm and welcoming environment where I felt safe to share my thoughts and feelings. Her empathetic listening and insightful feedback have been instrumental in my journey toward better mental health and overall well-being. What I appreciate most about her is her ability to tailor our sessions to my specific needs, asking me some challenging questions along the way. She has empowered me to understand myself better and has helped me develop healthier thought patterns. Thanks to her dedication and expertise, I feel more equipped to handle life's ups and downs. I also feel like I’ve learnt some cool things about myself and life in general along the way which I am so grateful for. This was my first time going to therapy and I was not sure what to expect. However, this was a very positive experience and I thoroughly recommend Esan Psychotherapy to others such as myself, on many occasions I wished I could prolong my sessions and have felt improvement in my wellbeing and how I view my relationships, whether it be family, friend or romantic. Very flexible with times and even on one occasion arranged a session on the weekend due to my change in scheduling. I have taken a break from the services at the time of writing this review but nonetheless I would not hesitate to renew. I cannot state how helpful this was and how much I recommend to others. I feel very heard, supported and seen, able to express my concerns and feelings without fear of judgement and have already uncovered a number of issues in our short time working together. Highly recommend!
