Description
Software Test & Issue Triaging Engineer – Automotive / ADAS
We are recruiting for an experienced Software Test & Issue Triaging Engineer to support vehicle-level software validation within an advanced automotive / ADAS environment.
This is a hands-on role focused on real vehicle testing, issue triage, and defect validation rather than lab-only or manual QA work. You’ll work closely with cross-functional engineering and validation teams to ensure embedded software and driver assistance features perform as intended.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and execute vehicle-level software testing and validation activities
* Generate and run test cases for embedded and ADAS features
* Prepare vehicles for testing, including test equipment setup
* Perform issue triage, defect validation, and root cause analysis
* Capture, analyse, and report test data accurately
* Use CAN and data acquisition tools to support diagnostics
* Support validation activities on proving grounds and public roads
Required Skills & Experience
* Background in automotive software testing or validation
* Experience with ADAS or driver assistance systems
* Strong knowledge of vehicle-level testing and issue triaging
* Hands-on use of tools such as CANape, CANalyzer, INCA, Simulink, or ADTF xjnqpsq
* Experience with embedded systems, ECUs, and CAN bus
* Proven defect tracking, reporting, and data analysis skills
* Full UK (or EU equivalent) driving licence
Desirable
* Proving ground or on-road testing experience
* Automotive OEM, Tier-1, or engineering services background
This role suits engineers who enjoy hands-on vehicle testing, problem-solving, and working close to real-world automotive systems
