IT / Telecoms Field Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT / Telecoms Engineer to join our growing team. In this role you will be responsible for installing IT and Telecoms equipment at our customer sites. You will also travel to customer locations to resolve faults and replace or upgrade networking hardware. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical expertise and a passion for problem-solving. The role is 75% field based and 25% office based. Our customers are located throughout the UK, so travel is required on a weekly basis, often with overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, design, and implement customised IT & Telecoms solutions tailored to client requirements.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software (IP phones, routers, switches, Laptops).
Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for all systems, promptly addressing any issues.

What we’re looking for:

Proven experience with IT products (Windows365, Laptop Build)
Strong understanding of Networking (Routers, Firewalls, Switches, WiFi)
Practical experience of installing network hardware (Cat-5/6 cabling etc.)
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and customer service skills.
Certifications such as CCNA are advantageous.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Full Clean UK Driving Licence required (This role requires driving company vehicles. Candidates must be able to be added to the company's insurance policy. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.)
