Personal Statement
“I’ve spent 30 years working with people who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unable to express their emotions.
Advanced Mind Management is the system I’ve developed to enable permanent emotional change in a way that feels gentle, calm and safe — especially for people who struggle to talk about their feelings.
I bring together guided relaxation, NLP, parts work, timeline therapy, inner child work, gut–brain health, vitamins, exercise psychology and coaching.

But more than the methods, it’s the way I work that matters: I make it easy for you, even if you don’t know what to say or how to explain what you feel.
My role is to help you feel safe, steady and understood from the very first moment, and to guide you back to a place where your mind feels clear, calm and in your control again.”

Richard :)

I’m a carpenter, and for years I was stuck — smoking weed every day, drinking too much, not pulling my weight at work or at home. I felt guilty around my partner and my little boy because I wasn’t showing up the way I should. I didn’t think therapy would work. I only took advantage of Richard Bloom’s free consultation because I was desperate. But over five sessions my head got more and more peaceful, and the need to smoke and drink just faded out. By the fifth session I stopped weed completely. And now, if I have two or three pints, I just stop. Before, I’d keep going until I was gone. My head’s calm now. I’m back in the gym, swimming at 6am, looking after myself, and my family can see the difference. This has genuinely changed my life, and I can’t believe how much better I feel. If you’re stuck like I was, the free consultation is worth it. I didn’t believe any of this would work — but it did.

I got in touch with Richard because I’d reached a point where I’d cut down my drinking on my own, but I still couldn’t get a proper handle on it. I used to drink two bottles of wine a day, and I’d stopped that. I wasn’t drinking during the week anymore. But whenever I was around other people — mates, work events, family stuff — I’d end up drinking far too much. Every time. It felt like I had no off‑switch. I’m an electrician, I'm a problem solver. But this one thing had me beat. I didn’t want to go back to where I’d been, and I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life “managing” it either. I wanted to be someone who just could stop when I wanted to, and not drink too much. Talking to Richard was a completely different experience from anything I expected. No judgement, no lectures, no digging through my past. Just straight, practical work that actually made sense. The process was simple — mostly yes/no stuff — but the shift it created was massive. Somewhere along the way, the urge to drink in social situations just… disappeared. I don’t feel like I’m fighting anything anymore. I go out, I see people, I enjoy myself, and I don’t drink. It feels normal. It feels like me. I took advantage of his free call had a chat with him and we started there I would seriously recommend giving him a call there is nothing to lose.

Before I saw Richard, I was feeling really desperate. My anxiety was taking over my life and I honestly didn’t believe anyone could help. I’d read Richard’s reviews, they felt almost too good to be true. Because I was so desperate to change something, I booked the free consultation call. In that conversation, I realised he has a huge amount of experience — not just helping people manage anxiety, but helping them deal with the underlying causes so the change actually lasts. I booked five sessions. I’m not at the end of my journey yet, but the difference is incredible. I’ve found a level of peace of mind in both my personal and work life that I didn’t think was possible a couple of months ago. Reaching out to a stranger can feel scary and overwhelming, but after that first call Richard didn’t feel like a stranger anymore. The work we did together was nowhere near as frightening or difficult as I imagined. BTW: During the therapy work, you only have to answer “yes” or “no”. As someone who struggles to express emotions, that made the whole process so much easier. With the extra time we had, he also helped me with motivation, and how I get in my own way when I want to achieve a specific goal in my life. I’d genuinely recommend booking the consultation call. That call changed my life — and it might change yours too.

I contacted Richard after struggling with high levels of anxiety for 60+ years and recently panic attacks. If I went to my gp he would only prescribe pills which wouldn't solve my problem but cover them up and I hate taking pills. Originally I thought I would prefer a face to face appt but after completing a request form, Richard contacted me by phone and we had a good 20 minute chat about my situation, I found him really easy to talk to. He was able to reassure me that he could help and recommended a few sessions over Zoom and he promised he would only get me to answer yes or no to questions, no indepth responses was needed. I was a bit sceptical I must admit but decided to give it a go. I was so surprised, even after 1 session I felt more relaxed than I have been in months. Having sessions over Zoom meant I didn't have to travel, I was in my own comfort environment and could relax so much quicker. Now my sessions have finished it doesn't mean the end ... Richard and I will make contact again in a couple of months to see how I'm getting on and if any 'top up' sessions are required which gives me a lovely sense of security. I would definitely recommend anyone to contact Richard if they need help

I came to Richard because I was having serious problems with anger. I’d go from zero to explosive in seconds, blow up, and then feel guilty afterwards. It was affecting my relationship and I didn’t trust myself not to lose it. Since working with Richard, those reactions have gone. It’s been weeks now and they haven’t come back. I feel more relaxed around my partner because I know I’m not going to suddenly blow up if I’m stressed, tired, or annoyed. The reason I never asked for help before is because I could not talks about my emotions. I was completely shut down. I thought, “What’s the point of seeing someone if I can’t even talk about what’s wrong?” But with Richard, that wasn’t a problem. The way he works meant I didn’t have to talk about my feelings at all at the start. All I had to do was answer yes or no, which I could do. And somehow, through that, things started to shift. Now I’m actually able to talk about my emotions in a way I haven’t done for years. I’m still getting used to this new version of myself, but it feels good. I honestly wasn’t sure about doing any of this until I had the free consultation with Richard. After talking to him, I felt relaxed and confident enough to give it a go — and before that, I didn’t want to work with anyone. If you’re someone who can't to talk about your emotions, and it’s messing up your relationships or your life, contact Richard. I can’t explain exactly how he does what he does, but it works.
