Senior Early Years Educator / Senior Nursery Practitioner

Salary: Up to GBP33,400 per annum + up to GBP2,000 performance bonus

Hours: 36 hours (4 days) or 45 hours (5 days) per week

Location: South Woodford, E18

Working Hours

Option 1: 36 hours per week (8am 6pm over 4 days)

Option 2: 45 hours per week (8am 6pm over 5 days)

About the Role

As a Senior Early Years Educator / Senior Nursery Practitioner, you will support the planning and delivery of engaging, age–appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, learning, and development in line with the EYFS framework. You will work closely with senior staff to maintain smooth daily routines and create a safe, inclusive environment where every child thrives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting lead educators in planning and delivering EYFS activities

• Creating a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment

• Observing and recording children s progress and development

• Promoting positive social interactions and emotional well–being

• Building strong relationships with parents and carers

• Ensuring full compliance with safeguarding and early years standards

• Participating in regular meetings, training, and professional development

About You

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)

• Experience in a nursery or early years setting preferred

• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• A caring, proactive, and professional approach to childcare
