Description

Responsible Individual (RI) – London

Location: London (multi–site – 5+ homes)

Salary: Competitive + performance–related bonus

Contract: Full–time, permanent (Monday–Friday, 9am–5.30pm, with flexibility)

Reports to: Head of Care

Lead with Purpose. Drive Excellence. Transform Lives.

SuperCare is on a mission to deliver nothing less than Only Outstanding care for children and young people. We're now looking for an exceptional Responsible Individual (RI) – an ambitious, commercially astute, values–driven leader who's ready to take charge of a growing group of children's homes in London and guide each one to Ofsted Outstanding.

If you're a strategic operator, a coach for future leaders, and a relentless champion for both quality and business performance, this is your opportunity to shape the culture, standards, and success of our London satellite.

Why SuperCare?

At SuperCare, we believe every child deserves the very best – and that starts with outstanding leadership. Our values are lived daily across all our homes:

We seek to understand

We never give up on our children and young people

We do whatever it takes

We inspect and don't expect

We are radically honest

We use Language That Cares, ensuring every interaction empowers and uplifts the children, families, and professionals we work with.

What You'll Do

As our Responsible Individual, you will:

Lead and inspire a portfolio of 5+ homes, ensuring outstanding care and operational excellence across your satellite.

Oversee performance and budgets, managing the P&L for your group of homes and ensuring financial sustainability alongside exceptional outcomes.

Support and challenge Registered Managers to deliver safe, nurturing environments where children thrive.

Drive Ofsted success, preparing homes for inspection and embedding continuous improvement post–inspection.

Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring all safeguarding incidents are managed and lessons learned are embedded.

Develop leaders – coach and mentor Registered Managers and other key staff to build confident, capable teams.

Line manage wider functional leads within your satellite, including operational, business support, and administrative roles.

Analyse performance data, identifying trends and opportunities for quality and efficiency improvements.

Build strong partnerships with local authorities, commissioners, and Ofsted to strengthen SuperCare's reputation as a trusted, high–performing provider.

What You'll Bring

Proven leadership experience as a Registered Manager, Responsible Individual, or senior operational leader within children's residential care.

Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.

Commercial acumen, with experience of budget ownership, P&L management, and resource planning.

DSL training (essential).

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

A track record of leading improvement and achieving Outstanding or Good ratings across multiple homes.

Authentic, reflective, and values–led leadership that puts children first – always.

The Opportunity

This is more than an operational role – it's a leadership legacy. You'll join a forward–thinking organisation with national ambition and a reputation for quality, where your impact will be visible in every home, every inspection, and every young person's story.

We'll give you the freedom to lead, the trust to innovate, and the platform to make a measurable difference.

Additional Information

Enhanced DBS for Children

Previous experience in Ofsted registration required.

Flexibility to travel across homes in London and surrounding areas.

Occasional evenings and weekends to ensure visibility and support across homes.

Ready to Lead Outstanding?

If you're driven by purpose, performance, and people – and ready to build something exceptional – we want to hear from you. Apply today and join SuperCare in creating homes that don't just meet standards – they redefine them.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm (flexibility to cover other shifts when necessary)
