Description

Our client, a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry, is looking for a motivated Lab Assistant to join their dynamic team in East Grinstead. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on laboratory experience and develop valuable skills within a world-class organisation.

Position Details

Role: Lab Assistant

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Working Pattern: Full Time

Location: East Grinstead

Pay Rate: £15.18 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance)

Shifts: 06:30-18:30 (9.25 hours/day), including weekends

Overtime: Frequently available

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months

What You'll Be Doing

As a Lab Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting laboratory operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing solutions in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Setting up and monitoring production dispensing pumps to ensure timely, high‑quality outputs

Carrying out compliance checks on laboratory equipment and instrumentation

Managing raw material stock levels and ensuring smooth lab workflow

Washing and autoclaving equipment to maintain high hygiene standards

Using software such as SAP ERP and Microsoft Office for data processing

What We're Looking For

You'll thrive in this role if you bring:

A-level (or equivalent) qualification in a scientific subject (preferred)

The ability to follow SOPs and adhere to health & safety guidelines

Strong teamwork and clear communication

Excellent organisational and time‑management skills

High attention to detail and good manual dexterity

Previous laboratory experience-especially in fast-paced manufacturing-would be an advantage
