Salary: GBP14.25 – GBP16.00 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of children's residential homes across Newcastle. These homes provide safe, supportive and nurturing environments where children and young people are encouraged to develop independence, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes through consistent, child–centred care.

We are looking to recruit a Children's Support Worker for both long–term and day–to–day opportunities with an immediate start available. The successful Children's Support Worker will support children and young people with their daily routines, promote positive behaviour, assist with activities and maintain a safe, caring environment. Day shifts and sleep–in opportunities are available.

The successful Children's Support Worker will have:

Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce qualification is desirablePrevious experience working within a children's residential settingA caring, patient and resilient approach to supporting children and young peopleThe ability to build positive relationships and manage challenging behaviours where requiredExcellent communication and teamwork skillsFlexibility to work day shifts and sleep–ins In return for the above you can expect to receive:
