Description
Event Host – Birmingham Hindu Event
Date: Saturday 21st Feb 2026
Location: Birmingham Hindu Temple
Type: Part-Time / Volunteer
You will be responsible for supporting and running this event on the day, ensuring everything runs smoothly from setup to finish. For future events, you may also help with uploading events online and marketing. Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
Attend and manage the event on the day
Set up tables, chairs, food, and drinks
Assist with guest check-in and answer attendee questions (e.g., directions to toilets)
Follow the event checklist and timetable
Ideally can speak Hindi
Run ice-breakers and games
Support ticket sales setup (online ticket vendors) and basic poster use
Ensure the venue is treated with respect at all times (e.g., removing shoes where required)
Must-haves:
Good understanding of Indian culture
Good understanding of Hindu customs
Confident public speaking
Respectful and confident when navigating a temple environment
Other details:
Training will be provided
Reliability is essential, as you may be the only person running the event on the day
