Description

Fabrication & Welding Trainer / Assessor (Full Training Provided)

Workington

38,000 - 40,000 + Local Government Pension Scheme + 39 Days Holiday + Excellent Work-Life Balance

Are you an experienced Welder or Fabricator looking to move into a rewarding role where you can support and develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople?

Do you want to use your industry expertise to help apprentices achieve nationally recognised qualifications while enjoying excellent benefits, long-term job security, and a fantastic work-life balance?

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Cumbria's leading technical education providers, supporting welding and fabrication apprentices as they progress through their qualifications and develop the practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours required by industry.

Working as part of an established apprenticeship team, you will work closely with learners and employers, carrying out workplace and remote assessments, monitoring progress, conducting reviews, and supporting apprentices through to End Point Assessment. You will also play an important role in the continued development of welding and fabrication apprenticeship provision.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background within welding and fabrication, hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline, and be passionate about developing others. Previous assessing experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training and development can be provided for the right individual.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step away from production pressures and into a role where they can make a genuine impact on the future engineering workforce while benefiting from excellent holidays, a Local Government Pension Scheme, and outstanding long-term stability.
