SOUTHERN FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER – HOMEBASED

Our client is a leading global company with a rich tradition and a commitment to innovation, to provide protective packaging solutions and technical moulded parts. They provide customers with immaculate packaging solutions and long term support.

They are looking to recruit a flexible and team–oriented Field Service Engineer to support their customers across the South of the UK. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a Southern territory, maintaining all systems through an organised visit schedule and proactive calloutsPromote the full range of products and solutions within the territoryCoordinate and deliver a regional preventative maintenance programme for all systemsPlan and manage time effectively across the region to achieve business objectivesDemonstrate correct system usage and advise customers on preventative maintenance best practicesProject–manage the delivery and implementation of ergonomic or workflow–improving solutionsRepresent the business professionally at all timesProvide product demonstrations, training, and application support to customers and colleaguesConduct Risk Assessments and produce Method Statements for customer installationsMaintain accurate records of service activities, system movements, and ensure timely submission to the officeCarry out all tasks in alignment with business priorities and operational requirementsTest and commission systems prior to installationManage stock levels of machines and spare parts, ensuring adequate inventory is maintained on the vehicleRequirements:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a field–based engineering roleIdeally qualified to HNC/HND level in electrical engineering or equivalent, or apprentice trainedStrong technical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems (including single and three–phase)Able to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and analyse and resolve technical issuesCapable of handling all customer interactions with discretion, professionalism, and sensitivity to individual needsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsWilling to travel within the UK and occasionally within Europe, including some overnight stays
