Are you an experienced Site Agent - Highways looking for your next opportunity? Carrington West is recruiting on behalf of a client for a key role within their Construction Team in Devon.

As a Site Agent - Highways, you will play a crucial role in delivering planned works to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term contract, ensuring high-quality services for residents, businesses, and highway users.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise schemes on-site, ensuring safe, timely, and budget-compliant project delivery.

Organise labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor resources efficiently.

Liaise with stakeholders, including network managers, local authorities, community groups, and designers.

Ensure all Construction Phase Plans, method statements, and safe systems of work are in place before starting work.

Maintain high safety standards and ensure all site personnel are competent and fully trained.

Take responsibility for the commercial performance of projects, working closely with commercial teams.

Keep accurate records, including site diaries, work activity logs, and resource allocations.

Support the Scheme Delivery Manager in developing construction programmes and method statements.

Build strong relationships with key supply chain partners.

Assist with early contractor involvement, buildability considerations, and traffic management planning.

Participate in value management and value engineering reviews.

Ensure compliance with company procedures and performance requirements.

Qualifications:

IOSH/SMSTS

CSCS

HNC or Degree (preferred but not essential)

Full, clean driving licence

Key Attributes:

Ability to control costs within agreed budgets

Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
