Job Alert – Electrician - East Suffolk Council

Salary: £155 Per Day

Hours: 37

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday

Role: 6 Months

Location: Rotterdam Road Depot, Suffolk, NR322EX

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out all electrical activities safely and efficiently, following all relevant regulations, Health & Safety requirements, risk assessments, and good working practices.

* Complete electrical work to a high standard of quality and competency across both 230v and 400v systems.

* Ensure all properties and work locations are left clean, tidy, and safe, including adhering to safe isolation procedures.

* Complete and submit all required documentation—such as job sheets, timesheets, and delivery tickets—promptly to support financial monitoring and recharge processes.

* Deliver a high level of customer care when interacting with tenants, clients, and other stakeholders.

* Participate in an out-of-hours emergency work rota as required.

* Undertake minor associated tasks, including basic plaster repairs and joinery work, where necessary.

* Manage all equipment, tools, and materials responsibly, reporting any defects or concerns promptly.

* Communicate effectively with tenants regarding planned works, including scope, duration, potential disruption, and any temporary services provided.

* Liaise with colleagues, surveyors, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of works in line with operational targets.

* Undertake relevant training, including refresher courses, to remain compliant with legislation and maintain competency.

* Comply with all Council Health & Safety policies, procedures, and workplace values.

* Maintain any allocated works vehicle in good condition and comply with the Vehicle Home Policy. xjnqpsq
