Position: Saw Technician / Machine Operator

Location: Yate

Type: Temporary, with potential for permanent placement

Shifts Available:

– Monday Friday: 6:00 am 2:30 pm

– Monday Thursday: 12:00 pm 10:30 pm

What You ll Do:

– Set up and operate saws to cut aluminium and stainless steel to specifications

– Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings

– Select appropriate saw blades and adjust cutting parameters for accuracy

– Monitor and ensure quality, safety, and efficiency during operations

– Perform routine maintenance, blade changes, and troubleshooting

– Inspect finished products for defects and compliance

– Maintain inventory of tools and consumables

– Follow safety procedures and keep a clean work environment

– Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines

What We re Looking For:

– Proven experience as a Saw Technician or similar role

– Skilled in operating and maintaining industrial saws for aluminium and stainless steel

– Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders

– Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy

– Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills

– Knowledge of safety protocols in an industrial setting

– Organisational skills and ability to work efficiently in a busy environment

– Flexibility to work rotating shifts including early mornings and late evenings

– Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and operating machinery

– Experience operating Counterbalance and Reach Fork Lift Trucks is a plus
