JOB - Project Engineer

LOCATION - Tredegar

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - GBP37,000-GBP42,000 per annum

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis in the Tredegar area. This role is central to managing and coordinating projects from design through to completion, working closely with internal and external stakeholders. You'll be involved across the full lifecycle- engineering, procurement, manufacture, fabrication, transportation, and documentation while building and maintaining effective client relationships.

The Project Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

Prince 2 or equivalent Project Management qualificationRelevant engineering Level 3 qualification (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) or work-based experiencePrevious project management experience within an Engineering environmentAbility to read and understand technical drawingsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailProactive, self-starter with a collaborative mindsetExcellent communication skills, able to work with staff, managers, and customers at all levelsIT literateLean/Continuous Improvement knowledge, awareness of ISO 9001:2015 The Project Engineer role will involve: Liaising with Contracts Manager, Head of Projects, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure effective deliveryAttending project meetings (kick-off, pre-production, progress) and ensuring follow-up actions are managedMaintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and highlighting discrepanciesProviding engineering support (design reviews, technical queries, interface management)Managing subcontractors/vendors including inspections, design changes, NCRs, and documentation complianceEnsuring safe working practices and compliance with company Health & Safety policiesOverseeing logistics: packaging, transport, and delivery to final destinations (including overseas)Handling client inspections both on and off siteSupporting project documentation preparation and submission in line with requirements If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations.
