Description

Our leading global consulting, construction engineering client is seeking Programme Leads on a permanent basis to support Severn Trent Water capital delivery projects based out of Tamworth.

This is an exciting time to join the consultancies new Project, Programme, PMO and Commercial Management Capability in the United Kingdom which is undergoing a transformative phase.

As Programme Lead, you'll be the strategic force behind multi-disciplinary programmes-ensuring alignment with client goals, commercial targets, and delivery excellence. You'll work across sectors, teams, and stakeholders to turn vision into reality.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end programme delivery across capital infrastructure portfoliosEstablish and embed robust governance, milestone tracking, and risk management frameworksAlign programme outcomes with strategic business objectives and client expectationsCoordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and accountabilityOversee NEC3/4 contract administration (Options A, C & E), ensuring compliance and delivery excellenceCollaborate with QS teams on forecasting, valuations, and cost controlDraft and manage key contractual communications including EWNs and Compensation EventsLead the negotiation and resolution of change orders, variations, and claimsConduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and inform future programme improvementsCultivate trusted, long-term relationships with clients, delivery partners, and internal leadership to drive strategic alignment and delivery confidenceActively identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities to expand service footprint across existing portfoliosRepresent client at high-level end client forums, steering groups, and external events-positioning the company as a preferred strategic partnerFoster transparent communication channels and stakeholder engagement plans to ensure programme objectives are understood, supported, and achievedRepresent client pitches and strategic forumsAs a key contributor to growth strategy, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across core sectors. This includes:Proactively scanning the market for emerging opportunitiesBuilding and nurturing strong relationships with both new and existing clients-acting as a trusted advisor and ambassadorPartner with Associate Directors and Directors to craft client-centric bids, while leading cross-functional engagement to showcase operational excellence, innovation, and commercial impact.Maintain a robust business intelligence database with client insights, bid outcomes, and lessons learned, while embedding feedback loops and knowledge sharing to drive continuous improvement across the business development lifecycle.Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's or master's Degree qualification in a numeric degreeFull Membership of chartered body such APM at MAPM.Valid CSCS card; Water Hygiene Card desirableStrong knowledge with CDM regulations and risk managementExperience with ECI/ESI in design & build programmesNEC (3/4) accreditation (preferred)Willingness to work on-site a minimum of 3 days per weekThis role is subject to client interview and acceptance

Benefits
