Winsearch is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturer serving the construction industry. Due to continued business growth, we are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Press Brake Operator / Workshop Operative to join a busy and supportive production team based in Poole.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled sheet metal professional who enjoys a varied hands-on role and takes pride in producing quality finished products.

The Role

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for manufacturing metal trims, flashings and bespoke profiles to customer specifications, ensuring all products meet the required quality standards and production deadlines.

You will also support wider workshop activities as required, contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the operation.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate sheet metal machinery, including press brakes and guillotinesWork with CNC equipment including turret punch machineryRead and interpret technical drawings and specificationsManufacture products to precise customer requirementsCarry out routine equipment checks before useMaintain a clean, safe and organised working environmentAssist with stock handling, goods inward and dispatch activitiesSupport loading and unloading of deliveriesOperate a forklift where licensed and requiredProvide support within powder coating and pre-treatment areas when needed What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience within a sheet metal fabrication environmentProven experience operating press brakes and guillotinesAbility to read and understand technical drawingsExcellent attention to detail and quality standardsStrong communication skillsPositive, reliable and team-focused approachGood understanding of workplace health and safety practices Desirable Skills

CNC turret punch experienceFibre laser cutting machine experiencePowder coating knowledge or experienceValid forklift licence What's In It For You?
