Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying to all the major supermarkets online food delivery companies, wholesale and restaurant chains. They are looking for an experienced multi-skilled engineer (electrically biased) to join their team.

Role & Responsibilities:

Carry out both electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs on high-speed food production lines, packaging machinery, automation / control systems & associated equipmentWork closely with the engineering manager to create new SOP's, PPM plans & schedules for new production lines & packaging machinery that have recently been installedChallenging role, which would suit a self-starter who can monitor production line efficiencies, suggest improvements and monitor real time dataMixture of hands-on maintenance & repairs and improvement activitiesInstallation & commissioning of new machinery & production linesContinuous improvement project work - Factory Acceptance Testing

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Must be a multi-skilled engineer - electrically biasedWill suit an engineer that is happy to be hands-on, but also carry out machine condition monitoring, asset care management & project workIdeally have worked in a projects based role - suggest improvements, create new SOP's, PPM'sMust have worked in food manufacturingStrong electrical fault finding & repairs skillsNVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC EngineeringKnowledge of creating new PPM plans and schedulesPLC - electrical fault findingUse of SAP beneficialIdeally have completed a time-served-apprenticeshipStrong communicator - working closely with the engineering manager, production teams, qualityMust be able to think on own initiative and work unsupervisedFlexible character with approach to new machinery, working hours
