About the company

I am currently recruiting behalf of a leading high end low volume client based in Woking who are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer – Paint (New Model) to join their team on a long term rolling contract basis

Principal Accountabilities:

Support cross functional Design & Perceived Quality reviews for new modelsWork with Research & Development (R&D) on new material concepts and technologiesSupport Design Verification Plan (DVP) testing of new substratesDevelopment of new Paint colours, including application sign offDevelopment of Paint application methods, including tooling definitionPFMEADFMEAFacility / Paint Shop capacity planningFacility layout planningProcess & Documentation and Product Traceability methodologyHours Per Car generation / reportingDevelopment of Paint application methods, including tooling definitionIdentifying any part related concerns, including Quality maturation, and escalation

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

A degree in mechanical / automotive engineering or similar or equivalent experience in a similar roleIdeally you will have experience with:paint development & application methodologiesspecification and procurement of paint jigs & fixturesplanning and execution of new vehicle programscomplex paint technologies / systemsvehicle assembly processes
