Lloyd Recruitment Services is pleased to be working with a national organisation in search of an experienced Fabricator to join their production team on a full–time, permanent basis.

Position: Fabricator / Welder

Location: Bristol

Salary: 30k– 31k dependent on experience

This is a hands–on workshop–based role, working with sheet metal and covering the full fabrication process including measuring, cutting, folding, welding, and fitting metal components. The successful candidate will also be expected to handle off–spec tasks such as repairing damaged metalwork using their own initiative.

Fabricator / Welder Key Responsibilities:

Full production of sheet metal components including measuring, cutting, folding, welding, and fittingFabrication of steel sheetsOperation and programming of workshop machinery including guillotines and press brakesManual metalwork and soundproofing of unitsStripping generator components from containers and fabricating replacement parts if damagedPlasma and flame cutting as requiredUsing MIG welding techniques on sheet metal and sections up to 15mmLiaising with other team members to optimise efficiency and workflowUsing appropriate hand and power tools to complete assigned tasksMaintaining a clean and safe working environmentSupporting with loading and offloading materials (forklift licence will be required)Adhering to quality, environmental, and health & safety standards as part of the wider management systemSkills and Experience Required as a Fabricator / Welder:

Strong background in general engineering or metal fabricationProven experience in sheet metal fabrication and MIG weldingAbility to work from drawings and use accurate measuring techniquesGood hand–eye coordination and attention to detailExperience operating CNC machinery (desirable)Reliable team player with good communication skillsAble to use initiative to complete non–standard tasksExtra Information:
