Description

Our client, an established aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) organisation, is seeking an Engineering Fitter to join its Inverness-based engineering team. The role will support line and base aircraft maintenance activities, working alongside Certifying Engineers to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Support line and base aircraft maintenance activities at the Inverness base, other operating bases and occasional off-site locationsAssist Certifying Engineers with aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with approved data, current regulations and company authorisationsIdentify, document and accurately record aircraft defects following discussions with operational crew membersComplete assigned engineering tasks safely, efficiently and in line with company policies and proceduresUse, care for and maintain tooling, equipment and facilities to the required standardCarry out aircraft handling, refuelling, role changes and cleaning activities as requiredMaintain a clean, safe and organised working environmentProvide general engineering and operational support to the wider business

Job Requirements:

Experience in aircraft maintenance, aerospace engineering or a closely related engineering environmentUnderstanding of aircraft maintenance procedures, approved technical data and relevant aviation regulationsAbility to interpret and complete maintenance documentation accuratelyKnowledge of aircraft handling, ground support activities and engineering toolingStrong commitment to health and safety, quality standards and regulatory complianceGood practical, fault-finding and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively with Certifying Engineers and wider operational teamsFlexibility to work occasional weekends, additional hours and at temporary or off-site bases, including overnight stays where required
