Design Technician - 30,000 - 35,000 - Clacton-on-Sea

A great opportunity is available for a skilled Design Technician to join a developing technical team. This role suits someone who enjoys collaborative working, solving design challenges, and producing accurate, high-quality technical drawings.

You'll be responsible for creating precise 2D and 3D models, supporting projects from concept to completion, and ensuring all design work meets required standards and deadlines. Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret technical documents are essential, as you'll work closely with internal teams and external partners.

You'll also help refine internal processes, contribute to product development, and support the growth of design libraries. With opportunities to mentor junior team members and promote continuous improvement, this role offers both variety and impact.

Producing accurate 2D and 3D models and technical drawingsApplying engineering calculations and best practice to all design workWorking with project teams to ensure designs meet client and project requirementsCommunicating clearly with internal colleagues and external stakeholdersReviewing and interpreting detailed technical informationTaking responsibility for meeting deadlines and escalating issues earlyKeeping all drawings, calculations, and records organised and up to dateSupporting process improvements and contributing to Lean/CI initiativesAssisting with product development and standard design librariesSharing knowledge and supporting less experienced designersWhat We're Looking For:
