About the Role

An exciting opening has arisen for a talented and driven Contracts Manager to join a leading civil engineering contractor based in the stunning Shetland Islands. This is a permanent, full-time position and an exceptional chance to advance your career while embracing an unmatched lifestyle in one of the most beautiful and welcoming communities in the UK.

As a Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects. You ll oversee contract negotiations, ensure compliance with contract terms, and manage relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

You will join the company as a key member of the management team, contributing to the business s high standards and reputation for quality. The role is a mix of office-based work and on-site project involvement, offering variety, challenge, and visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee HSEQ compliance in line with legislation and company policyCoordinate and manage civil engineering projects (planning, labour, materials, subcontractors)Manage changes to project scope, timeline, and deliveryPrepare and maintain key project documentation (RAMS, ITPs, QA, management plans)Lead contract tendering, negotiation, execution, and commercial managementConduct valuations and manage compensation eventsProvide site engineering, setting out, and technical expertise as requiredAct as key liaison with clients, fostering strong and effective relationshipsCoordinate temporary works from design to completion Skills & Experience Required

Ideally - CSCS card/SMSTS/First AidProven experience in a similar role/environmentStrong commercial, financial, and contractual awarenessExcellent communication and coordination skillsFull UK driving licence Legal Information:
