Responsibilities of Continuous Improvement Engineer:
Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean tools such as Kaizen, SMED, Six Sigma, 5S, 8D and Value Stream MappingDevelop and optimise manufacturing processes to meet stringent quality standardsDrive defect prevention through robust process controls and error-proofing solutionsSupport new product development from concept through to launchSpecify and validate equipment, tooling, and fixtures to meet production needsLead cost reduction initiatives through process optimisation and value engineeringPrepare and submit reports detailing capital expenditure requirements, including justification and cost analysisSupport capital projects and contribute to CapEx planning and execution
Requirements for Continuous Improvement Engineer role:
HND or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial preferred)Experience in high-volume manufacturing, ideally automotive or similaExperience leading continuous improvement projects using Lean tools such as Kaizen, SMED, Six Sigma, 5S, 8D and Value Stream MappingPractical exposure to Lean methodologies and structured problem-solving toolsKnowledge of automated assembly systems, tooling and test equipmentStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawingsSix Sigma Green or Black Belt advantageousExperience with CapEx projects or capital investment planning beneficial
