About the Role

A growing precision engineering company based in Cheltenham is seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator (Mill–Turn) to join their expanding team. This role offers excellent long–term prospects, including programming training and clear career progression for candidates looking to advance their CNC career.

You'll be working with modern CNC Mill–Turn machinery, producing high–quality components for a range of industries, while developing your technical skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Setting and operating CNC Mill–Turn machinesEnsuring components are produced to correct tolerances and specificationsReading and working from engineering drawingsConducting basic machine maintenance and troubleshootingMaintaining a safe and organised work areaWorking closely with the Production and Quality teams to achieve targets

Ideal Candidate

You'll be an experienced CNC Setter/Operator with a strong interest in developing your programming skills and progressing within a precision engineering environment.

Essential Requirements

CNC Mill–Turn setting and operating experienceAbility to read and understand engineering and technical drawingsStrong attention to detail and quality–driven approachGood problem–solving skillsReliable, proactive, and motivated to develop new skills

Desirable (Not Essential)

Experience with Fanuc or similar control systemsExposure to Mill–Turn or multi–axis environmentsBackground in precision engineering sectors such as Aerospace, Automotive, or Defence
