Description

Marble Talent Group are seeking an experienced Buyer with a strong background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) procurement to lead, develop, and manage our clients buying function. The successful candidate will take full ownership of procurement activities, ensuring best-value purchasing, building strong supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement across the department.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle for MEP materials, equipment, and support services.

Develop, implement, and enhance procurement processes, policies, and controls.

Lead, mentor, and grow the buying team, ensuring effective workload management and high performance.

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality, and reliable delivery.

Monitor market trends, material availability, and cost changes to support accurate project planning.

Collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, and the commercial team to forecast material requirements.

Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company standards and reporting requirements.

Requirements

Proven procurement experience within MEP contracting or a related construction discipline.

Strong negotiation, supplier relationship, and commercial management skills.

Demonstrated ability to establish structure within a procurement function and drive process improvements.

Excellent organisational, communication, and analytical abilities.
