Senior / Associate Flood Risk Specialist

Overview

A Senior/Associate Flood Risk Specialist with extensive experience.

The role is not tied to a specific location and the correct candidate will be able to be based at any of my clients' offices - Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, or Newcastle.

The successful applicant would support the work of the whole Practice, across all technical teams and offices.

Lead flood risk and hydrology projects with minimal supervisionPrepare flood risk assessments and hydrological studies to support UK planning applicationsHandle weekly work planning and resource managementEstimate fees, monitor profitability, and raise invoices promptlyCoordinate with contractors and multi-disciplinary teamsSupport business development and secure independent flood risk workTrain and mentor junior team membersConduct site work responsibly and follow safety guidelinesEssential Skills & Qualifications

Degree in a relevant field (e.g., hydrology, environmental science, civil engineering)Chartered status or actively working toward itExtensive flood risk / hydrology experience and strong use of analysis softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in MS OfficeDetail-oriented, reliable, and self-drivenWhy You'll Like This Role
