Description

Reports to: Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled Senior AV Engineer who is as passionate about all things technical to join our Surrey based team. We deliver multi-discipline AV and building systems across high-end residential properties throughout the UK.

Core Responsibilities:

•

Installation and checking of first fix electrical cabling, containment, enclosures and hardware in-line with standard installation methods and provided plans.

•

Rack and panel building, cable dressing, terminations and labelling to a high standard.

•

Second fix installation of equipment to a high standard of finish.

•

Competence with of a range of disciplines including managed networks, lighting controls, building management systems, commercial scale HVAC, distributed audio and video systems, projection systems, CCTV, access control and window treatments.

•

Operation, programming and troubleshooting of our key control system offering including Crestron Home, Savant, Control 4, KNX and Lutron Homeworks.

•

Final commissioning, QA testing and handovers alongside Project Manager.

•

Solid ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues using methodical fault finding and suggest resolutions alongside support from Management.

•

Plan, organise and prioritise the day-to-day tasks of your installation project from your assigned tasks, spotting/raising potential issues and reporting milestones to Management.

•

Must have a strong commercial awareness with the commitment to consider the project profitability and implications of installation choices, labour, equipment logistics and potential scope creeps.

•

Confidence of working on large building sites and familiarity of processes for access, site inductions and reporting.

•

UK-wide travel required, Monday - Friday (accommodation and expenses covered)

Additional Duties:

•

Maintain up-to-date and accurate project documentation of an installations configuration and to enable ongoing support and as-built documentation.

•

Attending customer sites on both a scheduled basis and in response to support tickets to perform maintenance and service calls approved by the Project Manager.

•

Inclusion in the out of hours remote support rota.

•

Specification of replacement equipment required to be quoted by the Service Manager.

•

Install and configure sports simulation systems (training provided).

Administration:

•

Handle confidential client information with the strictest of GDPR-compliant standards and working within NDAs.

•

Attend occasional team meetings, in-house led and manufacturer training courses.

•

Process warranty and RMA claims with suppliers.

About You:

•

Hold a Full UK driving licence

•

Proven ability to work independently in high-end residential AV installation and commissioning.

•

Technically confident, self-directing engineer who applies structured problem-solving, takes initiative, and takes genuine pride in the quality and finish of their work.

•

Represent Cre8tive Rooms professionally at all times on client properties

•

Strong commitment to H&S compliance and risk management

•

Enthusiasm for emerging AV technologies

•

Willing to complete DBS check

Desirable:

•

Lutron Homeworks qualification

•

A Crestron, Savant or Control 4 qualification (further training available)

•

KNX qualification

•

ECS card holder
