Polytec are seeking a Quality Technician to join our Cambridge-based client. Working as part of the Operations Quality Team, you will support the assembly, inspection and testing of electronic and mechanical components, carry out quality inspections and contribute to new product development and continuous improvement within a Lean Manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

- Test and inspect electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies for quality and function

- Assemble precision parts and operate test equipment

- Support prototype builds, new product introduction (NPI) and engineering development activities

- Assist with incoming material inspection and non-conformance investigations

- Record and analyse quality data to support process improvements

- Create and maintain work instructions and quality documentation

- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, quality standards and Lean Manufacturing practices

- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet delivery targets

Requirements:

- Strong attention to detail and excellent practical technical xjnqpsq skills

- Understanding of manufacturing or engineering processes

- Ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical work instructions

- Experience using measurement equipment such as callipers, micrometres or gauges

- Good Microsoft Excel or manufacturing data entry (MES) skills

- Proactive team player with strong problem-solving skills
