Type: Permanent

Hours: Flexible hours between 8am - 6pm (37.5 hours/week) Mon-Fri

Salary: Up to £35,000 dependent on experience

Polytec are seeking a Quality and Manufacturing Technician to our Cambridge based client. You will support the assembly, inspection, and testing of electronic and mechanical components, contributing to both production and new product development within a Lean Manufacturing framework.

Responsibilities

- Test and inspect components and subassemblies for quality and function

- Assemble precision parts and operate test equipment

- Support prototype builds and engineering development activities

- Troubleshoot faults and assist with root cause investigations

- Record and analyse data to support quality and process improvements

- Create and maintain work instructions and quality documentation

- Ensure compliance with health and safety and quality standards

- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet delivery targets

Requirements

- Strong attention to detail and practical technical xjnqpsq skills

- Understanding of manufacturing or engineering processes

- Ability to read and follow technical instructions

- Experience with measurement tools (e.g. callipers, gauges)

- Basic Excel or data entry system knowledge

- Team player with a proactive, problem-solving approach
