Quality Assistant – Electrical Engineering

Hook, Hampshire (Office-Based)

Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm | Friday: 8:30am–3:00pm

Salary up to £35,000 DOE

Join a Leading Electrical Company as a Quality Assistant

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established electrical engineering business as a Quality Assistant, playing a key role in supporting and improving the company’s Quality Management System while working alongside experienced technical and operational teams.

With a great work-life balance, including an early Friday finish, this role offers both professional development and long-term stability.

The Role: As Quality Assistant, you’ll support the ongoing development and maintenance of the company’s ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System, ensuring high standards are maintained across all operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting and maintaining the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements

Assisting with internal, supplier, and external audits, including tracking and closing out non-conformances

Monitoring and improving supplier performance, managing corrective actions and ongoing communication

Supporting quality initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, and operational teams

Maintaining quality metrics, KPIs, and reports to drive continuous improvement

Conducting root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and 8D

Ensuring accurate documentation and compliance within ERP and quality systemsWhat We’re Looking For

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Systems role

Background within manufacturing, electrical, or engineering environments

Practical experience working with ISO 9001 (knowledge of ISO 14001 is beneficial)

Strong understanding of corrective actions, root cause analysis, and supplier quality

Confident communicator, able to work with internal teams, customers, and suppliers

Comfortable using ERP systems and maintaining accurate quality documentation

Proactive, detail-focused, and genuinely interested in continuous improvementAbout the Company:
