We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealership based in Swindon, for a Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department. This opportunity is ideal for a fully qualified Vehicle Technician seeking a role with excellent earning potential, professional development, and a supportive team environment.

Working hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm

Monday to Thursday, and 8:00am – 4:30pm on Friday, with no requirement to work on Saturdays.

The role offers a starting salary of between £30,000 and £36,000 per annum, dependent on experience, with the potential to earn over £40,000 through performance-related bonuses, and some Vehicle Technicians earning up to £60,000.

Conducting fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs on vehicles to high standards.

Accurately diagnosing vehicle faults and reporting on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance.

Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures and quality work standards.

Working collaboratively within a friendly workshop team under the supervision of the Service Manager.

Adhering to manufacturer and dealership procedures and guidelines at all times.

Producing high-quality work for a stringent dealer environment.

Unity in team targets and continuous professional development.The requirements for the Vehicle Technician role are:

Fully qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or above in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

Several years of post-qualification technical experience preferred.

Valid UK driving licence with minimal points.

A committed team player with a strong work ethic.

Ability to deliver high standards in a fast-paced dealership environment.

An active MOT licence would be highly advantageous but is not essential.

Enthusiastic about developing skills in electric vehicle diagnostics and repairs.This is a highly rewarding opportunity to join a long-established and expanding business operating across England.
