Service Advisor – Temporary to Permanent - Immediate start

Hull - Monday to Friday with Saturday morning on a rota

Are you confident dealing with customers, comfortable on the telephone and organised when it comes to administration and data entry?

We are recruiting for a Service Advisor to join a busy automotive service department on an immediate temporary-to-permanent basis.

You do not necessarily need previous motor trade experience. We are happy to consider candidates with strong transferable skills from customer service, reception, hospitality, retail, call centres, administration or other customer-facing environments.

What you'll be doing

• Welcoming customers and dealing with enquiries in a friendly and professional manner

• Answering incoming telephone calls

• Making outbound calls to customers when required

• Booking customers and vehicles into the diary

• Taking accurate customer and vehicle information

• Entering and updating information on computer systems

• Keeping customers updated

• Liaising with colleagues to obtain information and provide customer updates

• Organising appointments and managing diary bookings

• Preparing and checking basic paperwork

• Processing invoices and taking payments where required

• Responding to emails

• Handling general customer queries

• Resolving straightforward customer issues and escalating where necessary

• Maintaining accurate customer records

• Carrying out general administrative duties

• Providing a professional front-of-house service

What we need

• Customer-facing experience

• Confident and professional telephone manner

• Good data-entry xjnqpsq and administration skills

• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems

• Good communication skills

• Organised and able to manage several tasks at once

• Reliable and able to work as part of a busy team

• Available to start immediately

Previous Service Advisor or motor trade experience would be useful but is not essential.
