Role Overview

We are engaging an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer for an upcoming contract opportunity, supporting the design, build, and ongoing optimisation of cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This role will be hands-on and delivery-focused, working closely with platform, DevOps, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain GCP cloud infrastructure

Work with core GCP services, including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, and IAM

Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)

Support containerised workloads and Kubernetes-based platforms

Implement and maintain cloud security best practices

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud environments for performance and cost

Support cloud migrations, upgrades, and platform improvements

Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams across delivery initiativesRequired Skills & Experience

Proven experience working as a GCP Cloud Engineer

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform

Solid experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and containerised workloads

Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools

Strong understanding of cloud networking xjnqpsq and security principles

Experience working in Agile delivery environments

Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in remote teamsDesirable Experience

CI/CD pipeline implementation and support

Cloud security and compliance exposure
