A lovely family based in Godalming are seeking an experienced part time nanny / housekeeper / cook to support their household and care for their two children, aged 14 and 10. This is a varied role suited to a reliable, organised and proactive candidate who is confident caring for older children while also helping with housekeeping and meal preparation.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with school-aged children and be comfortable supporting their daily routines, activities and school-related needs. They should also have good housekeeping skills and enjoy preparing fresh, home-cooked meals for the family. A driver is required for the role, and the successful candidate should be trustworthy, flexible and able to work independently. Excellent references are essential.

Duties include:

providing reliable and supportive care for the children
helping with the children’s daily routines
school runs and driving the children to activities when required
supporting homework and school-related tasks
organising activities and outings
preparing healthy snacks and meals
cooking fresh, home-cooked meals for the family
planning meals around the family’s preferences
grocery shopping and purchasing fresh ingredients
keeping the children’s bedrooms and personal areas tidy
organising school bags, uniforms and belongings
carrying out general housekeeping duties throughout the home
cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
laundry and ironing
making beds and changing bed linen
keeping wardrobes and clothing organised
maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen
loading and unloading the dishwasher
monitoring household supplies and replenishing essentials
running occasional household errands
keeping the home tidy, organised and well presented
assisting with general household tasks as required
using initiative to ensure the household runs smoothly

Requirements:

Current Paediatric First Aid

Current Enhanced DBS

UK Work Permit

Valid Driver’s License
