A private household in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex is looking for a reliable and experienced Part Time Housekeeper / Cook to support them with the upkeep of their home and day-to-day household tasks. The role is for 1 full day per week and would suit someone organised, efficient and confident managing a home independently

The ideal candidate will have previous private household experience, take pride in their work and be able to maintain a consistently high standard of housekeeping. A good standard of cooking is also required, along with a full driving licence and access to a car.

Duties include:

carrying out thorough cleaning throughout the home
dusting and polishing surfaces
vacuuming and mopping floors
cleaning bathrooms and maintaining them to a high standard
cleaning and maintaining the kitchen
keeping living and dining areas tidy and presentable
changing bed linen and making beds
laundering household clothing and linens
ironing and folding laundry
keeping bedrooms clean and organised
preparing fresh home-cooked meals
planning simple and nutritious meals
shopping for groceries and household supplies
maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organisation
monitoring household supplies and replenishing when needed
loading and unloading the dishwasher
managing household rubbish and recycling
carrying out occasional household errands
ensuring the home is kept clean, tidy and well maintained
