Domestic Couple Required in the Scottish Highlands, East Coast – ASAP Start
We are looking for an extremely experienced Domestic Couple to join a large country estate in the Scottish Highlands.
Highlights:
Start: ASAPLocation: Scottish Highlands, East CoastWorking Hours: 45 hour week, Generally Monday-Friday, but flexibility required when guests are in residence Salary: £70,000 gross per annum
Overview:
Our client is looking for a dedicated domestic couple to assist in the smooth running of their Scottish Estate.
The Estate is a secondary residence and so the ideal candidates will be more than capable and confident to manage the property without needing direction. The family are in residence for approximately 16 weeks of the year, typically over the Christmas and Summer period.
Due to the remote location of this role, a genuine fondness of countryside living is essential, as well as a driver's licence. The family have two large and friendly dogs and so the couple must love animals.
The ideal couple will be comfortable undertaking a combination of housekeeping, cooking, maintenance, and gardening duties. The family plans to establish a kitchen garden and would particularly value a couple who enjoy using fresh produce from the garden when cooking. They would also appreciate a couple who enjoy preparing home-cooked meals during the family's time in residence.
Duties included but not limited to:
Housekeeping:
Day to day cleaning of the large country house. Family laundry, such as ironing and linens. Caring for and preserving high value antiques and artwork. Running errands, such as grocery shopping. Cooking family style meals when guests are in residence. Pet care (occasionally)
Gardening/maintenance:
Assisting with the general maintenance and repairs of the house. Ensuring garden supplies are well stocked. Preparation and supply of fire logs/ cleaning out the fire each morning Ensuring the gravel driveways and compost bays are well cared for.Creating and maintaining a kitchen garden
