American Bulldog puppy

Hi this is Stella the female American Bulldog puppy, Stella was bought under the impression two people would be taking care of her and unfortunately my partner has had to go back into the infantry and will soon be on deployment. We have tried to make it work with me having her but with full time job and a child myself I’ve found it impossible and I am unable to walk her due to health issues - this was something my partner did when he was home.

She is absolutely fantastic with kids over 5 and I say over five just because she is very friendly and may knock little ones over. She loves playing with the kids on the front of the house (with some recall if a treat is offered, around 8kids play with her from age 2 to 11).

I have no concerns with her being rehomed to someone with kids over 5yrs old who are dog savvy. She knows basic commands -
In your cage, on your bed, go away (when eating food), sit, lay, speak, come.

We’ve tried working on recall and unfortunately can’t be off the lead at the moment due to distractions of other dogs which she is super friendly with but a bit too boisterous for some dogs due to her strength and size. She was raw fed for the first 8 months and realised the best thing for her digestive system was dry food only as she reacted to all other foods (very explosive loose stools). Now she has a normal bowl movement daily.

She loves to chew a bone under supervision. She is very good at sleeping in her crate (crate trained can be left for 4-5 hrs at a time however the most been left is 5 due to emergencies) as she does have tendencies to chew wooden frames due to the puppy stage. She does need more training and someone who will take the time as she is very stubborn due to her breed and just wants to play.

This is something that hasn’t been an easy decision as we want her but circumstances have changed. My son absolutely adores her and will be hard to part them.

She will only go to someone we feel is best for her. I would want her to go to a household with a male in the home due to her strength and pulling when she sees dogs as she just wants to play and friendly. Viewings available to come and meet Stella. She likes to sleep in her crate on a night with a blanket over the top. She has food out (complete and nibbles this through the day and in an evening. She doesn’t do any messes in the house. No fee for stella if the right person is found.
