For sale very rare Ercol Gate Leg oval dining table (model 1156) and a set of four Windsor chairs (model 1877) in Fruitwood finish. The table is ideal for the smaller dining area or for use when guests come around to visit. It can be stored neatly against a wall when necessary. Seats up to two when half open and up to 4 (perhaps even 5) when fully open.

The beautiful dining set was manufactured in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and is now back in fashion (keenly collected and highly regarded). Ercol furniture is synonymous with good design, quality materials and craftsmanship and is built for longevity. This is a real eye catching piece of vintage retro furniture which no longer in production.




Ercol Windsor Gate Leg oval / circular dining table (model 1156):



The table top is made from planks of nicely figured solid elm with the grain across the length. All the edges are beautifully rounded. It has two pull out legs which support the table top when fully open. Original Ercol label is still attached.

Set of 4 Ercol Windsor Chairs (model 1877): 


Each chair has a solid elm seat with beech backs, spindles and legs. The seats are showing some lovely complex elm grain. Each subtly fashioned back consists of 6 turned spindles within a low arched frame. The well constructed solid elm seats are inset beneath with angled tapering legs which provide perfect support, and matching H pattern stretchers help to bolster the chairs structural rigidity. Original Ercol label is still attached.

The set is in excellent (original) vintage condition with some light signs of wear mostly to the legs (please refer to photos). All pieces are free of any damage, repairs or wear to joints. The table is sturdy with no separation to the elm top. It has been cleaned and waxed. The original Ercol labels are still attached.
