Description

This is a temporary role to begin in october until Christmas eve, working 5 days a week Monday to friday, with 2 weekend days also to be worked within a given 3 week period, these 2 extra days will be paid in addition to the £600 weekly amount that will be paid every 4 weeks

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Multi Drop Van Driver to join our dynamic delivery team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to multiple destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. Your role is essential in maintaining the smooth flow of our operations, delivering products efficiently while upholding safety standards and professionalism. Responsibilities

Safely operate a van to complete multiple deliveries across designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and company policies
Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
Verify delivery details against orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of each shipment
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery times and resolve any issues promptly
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards
Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and reports of any incidents or delays
Assist in warehouse activities when necessary, including stock movement and inventory checks

Experience

Proven delivery driver experience, preferably with multi-drop routes in a commercial driving environment
Valid van driver’s license with a clean driving record
Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of loading/unloading tasks
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
Knowledge of local traffic regulations and safe driving practices
Prior experience with commercial driving or heavy lifting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
